Get Rid of Blackheads using Natural Products
Blackheads were a problem I had to deal with everyday for 17 years. My nose, cheeks and “T-Zone” were permanently covered.
I tried many treatments to get rid of them and have outlined the best ways I’ve found to remove them below.
1. Strips. Readily available in your local chemist, these products can be great for removing most of them in one go. You put the strip on the affected area, leave for a minute and then peel it off. The blackheads are pulled out of your pores and you can see them clearly stuck to the strip!
The only problem with these strips is that they won’t be as effective if you have oily skin. The strip doesn’t seem to stick too well and can leave some of them behind.
2. Exfoliation. There are many exfoliating face washes on the market that will help. They remove the dirt and grime that causes the blocked pores and should be used regularly to keep your pores clear which will prevent them coming back.
3. Blocked Pore Poppers and Removers. There are instruments for removing comedones available in most chemists. Tweezerman have a product called a comedone remover for about $15 (Comedone is the medical term for blackheads!)
Although there are many different types on the market they all basically do the same job. You place the circular hole round the blocked pore and gently press down. The blackhead is pushed out of the pore and through the hole.
Can be time consuming, a little painful and you need to sterilize the popper to prevent spreading the acne around.
4. Facials. There are many deep cleansing facials available that work great …or you can make your own!
Mix Rosewater with Almond Powder to make a soft paste. Rub it onto the areas where you have your blocked pores. Leave to dry and then wash it off. Dry your face and then use some Witch-Hazel Lotion to close your pores. This will stop them coming back.
